Read A thankful heart is a faithful heart

In the day-to-day of my everyday life, I realize the importance of having a thankful heart. It is through gratitude that I can truly appreciate the blessings bestowed upon me. These blessings I respond to in faith by being faithful to them. I am faithful to my family, my work, my church, and ultimately, my God.

I honour my father and mother so that it may be well with me and so I may live long on the earth. A friend loves at all times, and a sibling is born to help in time of need. I give thanks for them and am faithful to them. I honour my spouse and love them. Being patient and kind, not jealous or boastful or proud or rude, is a choice I make to love and honour them. I do not demand my own way and do my best to not be irritable. And I keep no record of being wronged and rejoice whenever the truth wins out. I never give up and I never lose faith and I am always hopeful, and endure—God helping me—through every circumstance. I am faithful to those God has entrusted to me and blessed me with.

I am faithful to receive a living through the gifts, talents and abilities God has blessed me with. Gratitude for these gifts opens the door to use them with excellence. Whatever I do, I work with my whole heart as unto the Lord. I am not slothful in zeal, but fervent in spirit, working hard, so I will not be a burden to anyone. I make it my ambition to lead a quiet life and work with my hands. The favour of the Lord my God is upon me and He establishes the work of my hands.

I don’t give up meeting together, but I consider how to stir up others and be stirred up by others towards love and good works. Where two or three have gathered together in His name, He is there. I am faithful to encourage and build others up, and don't neglect to ask for prayer and help from them. How good and pleasant it is for people to gather in harmony! I am faithful for as long as it depends on me, to be at peace with everyone.

I know Jesus said, “If you want to be my disciple, you must, by comparison, hate everyone else—your father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters—yes, even your own life. Otherwise, you cannot be my disciple.” I need to love Him more than my earliest love, my nearest love, and my dearest love. As I am faithful to God, I am faithful to them. As I am faithful to them, I am faithful to God.

A thankful heart is a faithful heart. Gratitude transforms my perspective and deepens my relationships with God and with others. By being faithful to my family, work, church, and—most importantly—to God, I can cultivate a heart filled with gratitude.

Today, I find strength, joy, and purpose in every step of my journey and remember a thankful heart is a faithful heart.

Read I am grateful for the blessings that surround me every day

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change. He blesses me with every spiritual blessing in Christ. All of God’s promises are “yes” and “amen”. Every moment of every day, I see His endless blessings around me. I appreciate everything associated with life to be something special.

A joyful heart is good medicine. Gratitude and appreciation open the door for joy. When I hear the laughter of children, I feel blessed to share that joy. When I see the care someone shows another, I appreciate the God who loves us.

As I am filled with Holy Spirit, I can give thanks to God the Father FOR all things. I can trust He is working all things together for the good and I choose to remember how He’s done so many times for me in this life. I take the time to learn from each experience and feel blessed to learn life lessons along the way.

Taking in the fresh air at sunrise brings me so much happiness. I feel my lungs expand. I remember the steadfast love of the Lord never changes, His mercy never comes to an end; they are new every morning. I am blessed to be alive. I will live all the days of my life.

All my senses are alive. My eyes, ears, nose and touch can enjoy all the blessings God is ready to overwhelm me with today. All the days of my life have been written in His book before one of them came to be. I am truly grateful to be in this position. I know that everything I can do is because I am truly blessed.

Today, I avoid taking things for granted. Even the simple things are truly appreciated, because I know these blessings come from God. I celebrate everything I have and avoid complaining about what I still wait for. Each day, I look forward to the chance to give thanks! The Lord blesses me and keeps me; the Lord makes His face to shine upon me and is gracious to Me; the Lord lifts His countenance upon me and gives me peace. I am grateful for the blessings that surround me this and every day.

Reflection Questions to Ask Holy Spirit:

  1. When was the last time I laughed with someone?
  2. How can I make space to be filled again with You?
  3. How am I able to be a blessing to others today?

I am called to be a blessing, and I choose to be one to someone today. As I bless others, I am blessed. As I refresh others, I am refreshed. In all things, I am blessed, and I choose to notice all the good in my life and feel grateful. Even if I experience challenging events, I always remember how blessed I am and choose to feel thankful and do something to show someone appreciation. I will praise and thank God before the battle and in every battle.

I always have plenty of whatever I need. My good Father gives me good gifts and I trust Him to take care of my needs. And often, I am blessed with more than enough. I am loved, and I live loved as I share from my abundance with a joyful heart.

My gratitude and generosity opens the storehouses of heaven. God overwhelms me with more blessings that I can even imagine, so I am taken care of in every way and have more than enough to share. I give and I receive. My gift returns to me in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into my lap. The amount I give determines the amount I get back.

Even when I have an opportunity to doubt, I make the choice to trust in the Lord with all my heart. I will praise Him in the storm and will rejoice before my answer comes. I will remind myself of how He’s overwhelmed me with blessing in the past and choose to be grateful for the many blessings I have. My good Father will provide all my needs according to His riches in glory.

I look after the blessings God entrusts to me and don’t bury them in the ground. Instead, I invest them in others and I seek to multiply what He entrusts to me for His glory. I tell others about the good things He’s done for me and use the abundance He provides to bless others. I remember how others have encouraged Me, so I speak the truth in love and let nothing come out of my mouth that isn’t for the encouragement of others. What I have to give, I give to meet the needs of others.

My God is generous, and my heart is abundant. Blessings come to me freely, and I cultivate gratitude and generosity to bless others with what I’ve been blessed with.

Today, I choose to feel thankful and purpose to bless someone in some meaningful way. I make space to reflect on how I can feel. I am blessed and I regularly experience gratitude for all the wonderful things in my life. And I seek opportunities to show this gratitude by living with a sense of abundance.

Reflection Questions to Ask Holy Spirit:

  1. What can I do to feel thankful and show appreciation?
  2. What do You want me to feel thankful for today?
  3. Can You help me remember something challenging in my life that You’ve already worked out for good?
