There is so little in this world that we can convince ourselves we have a semblance of control over. Thank God we have the same power that raised Christ Jesus from the dead alive in us and working through us and that Holy Spirit empowers us to accomplish every good work prompted by faith.

It’s amazing to remember that He will finish the good work He’s started in me. God’s will is to make me more and more into the image of His Son. What did Paul write? “But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them – yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.” 1 Corinthians 15:10

What an incredible dance we have with the divine. We do what we can according to His will. He does what he does to see His will done. What He does is inspire, empower and enable us to do what we can according to His will.

Holy Spirit empowers me to accomplish every good work prompted by faith. I am self-controlled and alert. I know the enemy prowls around like a roaring lion, but the God of peace has placed satan underneath my feet. I am forgiven and empowered to become more and more like Jesus.

Negativity Fast Reflection - Day 22 - Quietness And Trust Is My Strength

Today's Negativity Fast Reflection. Discover the transformative journey of embracing quietness and trust to overcome negativity and find inner strength.

It was to the people of Judah that God spoke through the prophet Isaiah - Only in returning to me and resting in me will you be saved. In quietness and confidence is your strength. But can’t you hear the echo across the millennia?

You were create to walk with God in the garden in the cool of the day. All of creation longs for the children of God to be revealed. We along with creation yearn to the be in the unforced rhythms of grace Jesus talked about.

And yet the final line of the verse in Isaiah 30:15 shouts across the millennia-

Isaiah 30:15 This is what the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One of Israel, says: “Only in returning to me and resting in me will you be saved. In quietness and confidence is your strength. But you would have none of it.

May this negativity fast reflection centre you on the grace God has for you today.

Jesus told us that if we’re faithful in little things we can be trusted with much. In this world it’s easy to let comparison and ‘keeping up with the Jones’ and FOMO tell us that we’re only as good as current job title. But the Bible tells us to not despise the day of small beginnings so we need to learn to celebrate every step of the journey that makes us more and more like Jesus.

This reflection not only helps us remember we’re not missing out when we’re on God’s timetable. But it also helps us to realize some of the things we think are “little” are the most important things for God.

Negativity Fast Reflection - Day 20 - I Do Good To Everyone In My Everyday World

Today's Negativity Fast Reflection. Discover how embracing positivity transforms daily interactions in this profound negativity fast reflection.

From small acts of kindness to grand gestures of generosity, there are unsung heroes silently weaving blessings into the fabric of society. But what motivates them? What compels them to rise above the tide of pessimism and extend a helping hand, even when it may seem futile?

I know this isn’t the answer for everyone, but my answer has to be “Jesus”.

I can be good and do good to others because He’s been so good and done so much good for me and to me. He’s the light and tells me to shine my light before others so they see my good works and glorify my Father in heaven. There is nothing good that lives in me—that is my sinful nature—but He empowers me to accomplish every good work prompted by faith.

I do my part, Holy Spirit does His part. I do good to everyone in my everyday world.
